Hi everyone 👋🏼

This is Vini (you might have read a lengthy article or two of mine on Travel Off Path 👀🙈) and I’m a digital nomad based in Pariii, Frrrrrance.

Love my city and could spend the rest of my life exploring it, but definitely got the travelling gene and am out on the road basically every chance I get. Anyone can relate? 😅

Also am open to connecting with likeminded individuals and share travel tips on Paris | Europe as a whole 🙌🏼

Ne soyez pas timid(e), reach out if you’re ever in town 😊

I’m definitely going to be picking your brain Vini! I made the mistake of booking 3 weeks in France at the same time as the Olympics! 😳

To be fair it’s mostly Paris that’ll be affected as it will host a majority of the events, and there’s lots of smaller, equally gorgeous cities to be explored. I’m sure you’ll have a cracking time regardless 🙌🏼

Vini - I watch your stories and you ALWAYS know
- the hidden gems in Paris
- and, the best places to go around there!

I am going to Bordeaux in August and I need your advice for what to do before PLS
(Biarritz, Bordeaux and Bayonne)
DO I STAY around there? or come to Parisssssss instead

Bordeaux and Basque are stunning places to visit in France, they’re very laid back and Bordeaux is almost a mini Paris in a way.

But if you’ve never been to Paris before, definitely pay the capital a visit. It’s the heart of France and I feel it’s one of those capitals that are actually representative of a country’s spirit.

Plus it’s just bloody GORGEOUS. I know it’s overtouristed and it’s not somewhere that would inspire intrigue or pique interest when everyone seems to have been already, but imo it’s a quintessential European city everyone must “sample” at least once.

Knowing your travel preferences though, I think Paris in summer is right up your alley.

The elegance, the high life, the blooming gardens, the balmy weather, the fooooood… there’s definitely a reason why I live here 😂

Bordeaux is one of my favourite cities in France! We’ll be there this summer too- my boys are football (soccer) mad so we managed to get them tickets to an Olympics football match there.

Last summer we went to a Dali Exhibition in the Bassins des Lumières, which is an abandoned submarine base, so very cool setting. There is a Mondrian exhibit there this summer we will definitely be checking out. Recommend if art is your thing!

Kashlee, I think that you can have a STELLAR time focusing on all that Bordeaux and the environs has to offer. First of all, go to www.LostinBordeaux.com and sign up for Ira's newsletter. You can also subscribe to it AND check out the incredible archives. She has written so much about what to see and do in and around Bordeaux, including day trips and weekend getaways. From seaside visits to wineries, and just the town itself, there is so much to do + see! Enjoy!

Hi Vini, wonderful for you that you live in Paris! I lived there for 8 years when I was married to a Frenchman, working in PR for Dior, and I loved every blessed minute! When you have the urge to get out of the city, check out St Germain-en-Laye, just west of Paris. There is an RER that goes there. Beautiful chateau, a huge park, and surrounded by forests!
