Accepted Forms of ID
- REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state ID
- U.S. passport or U.S. passport card
- DHS Trusted Traveler card (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
- U.S. military ID
- Permanent resident card
No REAL ID?
Passengers without a REAL ID-compliant license may need to use alternative verification or complete secondary TSA screening. Check with your airline before traveling. A standard U.S. passport is always accepted.
REAL ID Deadline
REAL ID enforcement is now fully in effect for domestic air travel. Verify the star mark on your license — if it's missing, use your passport or obtain a REAL ID-compliant ID from your state DMV.
