Problem: Nigeria has reactivated strict Ebola screening for all international travelers at its international airports, and it may include quarantine.

Why it matters: After an imported case of Bundibugyo virus (a rare form of Ebola) in a traveler arriving from Uganda, the government brought back screening measures that can cause delays on arrival and departure.

Advice: Expect medical screening and possible delays at the airport, monitor your health for 21 days after any exposure, and if you feel sick, phone a doctor before showing up at a clinic or hospital. Malaria symptoms can look like Ebola, so keep taking your prescribed malaria prophylaxis.
