Approximately 60,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into Spain's Ceuta territory in a 24-hour period, with hundreds more reaching Melilla. Spanish military, National Police, and Guardia Civil deployed; clashes between migrants and security forces occurring on the Moroccan side of the border. Do not travel to Ceuta or Melilla. Avoid any demonstrations, which may become violent. Ferries between Ceuta and mainland Spain are currently operating — monitor the Port of Ceuta website for sudden changes.
