The iconic Ritz-Carlton in Montreal has made Forbes list of the top hotel rooms in the world for 2019. The chic and historical property was built over 100 years ago in the heart of the city's Golden Square Mile. The hotel has been a hub for social, political and cultural activity with a star-studded list of past guests including Queen Elizabeth II, Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Taylor. 

Its location in central downtown near the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, galleries and luxury shops make it one of the most sought after properties in the city. With an extensive restoration under it's belt, the hotel was the first ever to bear the famous brand name of Ritz-Carlton.

It's opulent rooms feature warm colors that highlight the buildings historic architecture. The standard rooms at the property are 400 square feet featuring city views, king size bed, pillow menu, motion sensor lighting, 47-inch LCD flat-screen and work desk. The marble bathrooms are outfitted with an electronic toilet, heated floors, rainfall shower head and a 24-inch flat screen. 

Deluxe King Room

Guests who desire more luxury can choose from one of the 33 suites at the property that range from 600 to 4700 square-feet. The Royal Suite is one of the largest in Montreal boasting 12 rooms including a living room and bar overlooking Montreal, dining room, master bedroom and expansive bathroom, butler's pantry, security office and a luxury walk in closet. This level of luxury doesn't come cheap as the Royal Suite will set you back around $10,000 per night. Royal Suite

The hotel features a heated roof-top salt water pool complete with panoramic vistas of downtown Montreal. Other amenities include a state of the art gym, spa and in-room massage. Maison Boulud is the famous 130 seat restaurant inside the hotel run by 3-Michelin star Chef Daniel Boulud. Dishes are steeped in French culinary tradition with a focus on using local Quebec products.
