Canada Cancellations:
The Government of Canada has banned all cruise ships carrying more than 100 people from operating in Canadian waters until February 28, 2020.
Due to the cruise ship ban, Celebrity cruises made the following statement:
“As a result of the Government of Canada’s decision to extend its restriction on cruise ships carrying more than 100 guests until February 28th, Celebrity’s 2020 sailings to Canada and Alaska and as well as notable fall itineraries such as Canada/New England, Hawaii and a few repositioning cruises must be canceled.”
“We are working with public health agencies and governments to ensure a safe return to service, and look forward to setting sail from and to these destinations next year.”
The following Celebrity Cruise Ships are scheduled to be reopening for sailings in January and February:
- Celebrity Reflection
- Celebrity Edge
- Celebrity Apex
- Celebrity Constellation
- Celebrity Summit
- Celebrity Infinity
- Celebrity Silhouette
- Celebrity Xploration
- Celebrity Flora
- Celebrity Xpeditioo

We are scheduled to go on an Alaska Cruise leaving Seattle August 13 and returning August 20th. Will those who have not taken the COVID-19 shot be allowed to go on the cruise. The ship is the solstice.

Help me to understand why Celebrity is looking into 2022 where people have moved cruises to be able to travel and then Celebrity cancels or switches a ship to make a cruiser rebook at higher rates then original cruises purchased well before the pandemic occurred? Where is their loyalty to their cruisers, where is there compassion to people who might be a bit tight right now but be able to keep their cruises in 2022? Instead it seems like they are trying to push these folks to make up for their losses. We all loss i n so many ways but to capitalize on it makes me wonder.
