Getting from Da Nang to Hoi An can be easy and stress free. When we first started researching it, there was all of this information on buses, taxis, Grab and even renting a motorbike. From which bus stop to go to, how to catch a taxi and how much each was going to cost.
Instead of all this extra reading I thought to myself why doesn't someone just say “this is the easiest, fastest and most affordable way”.
I've done all of the research and if you want a seamless, stress free experience to get from Da Nang to Hoi An, this is it! We experienced the transport first hand and can confidently recommend the service.

Da Nang To Hoi An Transport
We used the transport company Same Same But Better. They had the best deals and amazing reviews on a Hoi An locals Facebook group so we decided to give them a try. Their service can be used for any transfers between Da Nang and Hoi An. The price stays the same whether it's an airport/hotel pick up or drop off.
They meet meet you at the airport arrivals gate and will be holding a sign with their company name on it. They assist with luggage and escort you from the airport to the car. We loved the personal touches of a cold towel and bottle of water after a long flight! The drive takes about 30-40 minutes to get from Da Nang to Hoi An and the car was clean, comfortable and newer. The best part is the price!
These prices are BASED PER CAR. Not per person. Super affordable!
4 Seater Airport Transfer from Da Nang to Hoi An: 250K Dong ($10.75 USD)
7 Seater Airport Transfer from Da Nang to Hoi An: 300K Dong ($13.00 USD)
16 Seater Airport Transfer from Da Nang to Hoi An: 400K Dong ($17.00 USD)
It's actually cheaper to use this private transfer service then it is to take the tourist bus from Da Nang to Hoi An for parties of 2 or more!

Other Transportation Methods from Da Nang to Hoi An
The Sinh tourist bus is $7.00 per person so even if two people take the bus it will cost $3.25 more than the private transfer.
The only cheaper way to do it is by taking the local bus. You will need to get the bus station in Da Nang which is 2.6km away from the airport and it also drops you off a 15 minute walk outside the town of Hoi An. The cost is 25k Dong ($1.00 USD) but foreigners are often charged more. Sounds like a whole lot of work and stress to only save around $5.00.
Grab is also available in Vietnam and will cost 300k-400k Dong ($13-$17 USD) from Da Nang to Hoi An.
Taxis are also readily available at the airport and will cost anywhere from 350k-550k Dong $15 to $23 from Da Nang to Hoi An.
Hoi An is a magical place and we had the privilege of staying for 3 months.
