Home to a wealth of architectural landmarks, cities that are thousands of years old, castles that could belong in a Disney classic, and coastal areas bounded by teal-colored waters, we can't think of anywhere better to be this summer than sunny Europe.

On the downside, we're not exactly thrilled about the crowding, inflated prices, and openly anti-tourist policies seen in places like Barcelona or Venice, the latter of which has just implemented a ticketing system that will require you to make a reservation to enter.
