The new Lion Lodge, at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve in Kent, gives guests the opportunity to sleep, cook and even take a bath while a pack of lions prowls just inches away.
The lodge is the world's first, and with huge picture windows in both the master bedroom and the living area, brave guests are never far away from the five magnificent predators who live at the park
The loft style lodge comes complete with a huge open fire place and wood-heated Scandinavian outdoor baths on secluded platforms.
The king-size master suite offers a prime view of the lions – Adras, Oudrika and their three adorable cubs. A spiral staircase leads up to a another mezzanine level featuring two single beds.
The lodge also boasts a bar, a six-foot designer chandelier and a private terrace and gardens.
Oudrika gave birth to three lion cubs in the early hours of May 13, this year.
They were the first lion cubs to be born at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve in more than a decade.
Lion Lodge follows the success of a similar venture at the reserve, Tiger Lodge – probably the only place in the world where you can wake up with a tiger at your window.
The only thing that might set you back from sleeping with this gorgeous family of lions is the price. The average cost per night is $3000. Additonal rooms and suites available at the hotel can be found on their website.
