In its latest expansion, BermudAir added nonstop flights from Orlando, Florida (MCO) and Baltimore, Maryland (BWI) to Hamilton, Bermuda (BDA.)

From Orlando, it's just a 2-hour and 30-minute flight to the gorgeous island of Bermuda, and from Baltimore, it's only 2 hours and 15 minutes.

This makes Bermuda the perfect destination for a long weekend getaway from the East Coast.

Why Visit Bermuda?

Aside from it being a quick, easy flight from the East Coast of the United States (less than 3 hours from most cities), there are so many other reasons to visit Bermuda.

For one thing, the island is home to some truly stunning beaches. If you've seen photos of Bermuda's legendary pink sand beaches, yes, they are real.

The color of the sand comes from pulverized coral and shells lending a pink hue, which contrasts beautifully with the clear blue waters of the beaches.

Bermuda is an amazing destination for every type of traveler with a variety of activities to enjoy including snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, and golf (this small island is home to eight world-class golf courses!)

You can visit Bermuda year-round and enjoy warm and sunny weather, although the most popular time to go is May through October. This is when the water is warmest, making it the best time to go if you plan to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving.
