Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos Review: Why This Luxury Escape Will Ruin You For Other Resorts

Share The Article

Let’s be honest… finding a Cabo resort that actually lives up to the glossy website photos is often a gamble.

You usually have to trade good food for a crowded pool, or genuine luxury for a stiff, boring atmosphere.

But walking into Garza Blanca Los Cabos felt like a total reset.

Within minutes of a swift check-in, we were settled at lunch on the adults-only rooftop by the infinity pool, and we knew immediately we had made the right choice.

With knockout Sea of Cortez views, a great soundtrack, and service that spoils you for other resorts, the Rooftop isn't just a feature here—it's one of the main events.

Where It Sits (And Why That Matters)

Garza Blanca is located in the Tourist Corridor—basically the sweet spot between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo—and roughly 20–30 minutes from the airport, which made our arrival blissfully painless and day trips super simple.

Our Suite (AKA: The “Could I Live Here?” Test)

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite and it passed the “live here” test with ease: full kitchen, large dining table, and a spacious living room with a pull-out sofa. Both the living room and the bedroom opened to a huge balcony with a table for coffee sessions and a hammock for afternoon swings.

The primary bath had double sinks, a soaking tub, and a luxe shower; there’s also a second bathroom off the living room. The overall feel: high-end without being stuffy. The fridge was stocked, snacks were refilled daily on the all-inclusive plan, and we honestly would’ve moved in if given the chance.

If you’re traveling with a group or want to go bigger, the property has multi-bedroom residences and penthouse lofts (think thousands of square feet, private terraces, and chef options), plus butler service at the top end—the brand leans into that premium, pampered vibe.

Pools, Pools, Pools (And Why The Rooftop Wins)

There are eight heated outdoor pools spread across the resort, each with a distinct personality—kids’ areas, a swim-up bar, and the adults-only rooftop infinity pool with those hard-to-look-away ocean views.

We bounced between a lower-level pool with the swim-up bar (great drinks, quick service) and the rooftop, but the rooftop won our hearts for comfort, views, and atmosphere.

If you’re not traveling with kids and you want a zen day, make the Rooftop your home base.

Service That Actually Anticipates You

This is where Garza Blanca truly stood out for us. We’ve done enough all-inclusive stays to know that sometimes getting a drink or a snack can feel like an errand. Not here.

Staff circulated constantly, adjusted umbrellas by an inch (or two!) without being asked, and made everything absurdly easy.

We also had butlers included with our stay who reserved pool loungers, coordinated room service, and even tracked down playing cards we forgot—delivered to our room in about 20 minutes.

The brand actively promotes butler service and “personalized pampering,” and in practice it felt real, not marketing fluff. You are assigned a team of butlers that you can reach out to anytime on WhatsApp, and they will do their best to fulfill any request you have. There wasn't a single thing they were not able to do for us during our stay, and it added a whole other level of relaxation to the trip.

Food & Drink: Easy Bites To Chef-y Nights

Rooftop lunches were our go-to (burgers, tacos, ceviche—poolside comfort done right), but dinners are where you can dial things up.

Blanca Blue does polished Mexican flavors for breakfast and dinner; Hiroshi leans Japanese with a Mexican twist; there’s also a steakhouse concept and more across the dining portfolio.

If you’re on the Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive, premium beverages and a wide slate of dining options are part of the deal, which makes staying on property feel seamless.

A Quick Note On The Plan

Garza Blanca’s all-inclusive is designed to be premium—unlimited drinks (including selected premium brands), meals, snacks, and room service are included; pricing varies by suite and dates.

If you plan to hang at the resort most of the time, it’s 100% worth it.

Spa, Gym, And A Fun On-Site Class

We carved out time for a cooking class (it runs on a weekly schedule with a small upcharge) and it was a surprisingly fun break from pool time.

Fitness lovers: the gym is seriously well equipped—we lift five to six days a week at home, and this was one of the rare resort gyms where we didn’t feel like we were “making do.”

For a full reset, Spa Imagine sits high in the building with big views and a robust menu—massages, facials, salon services, and some high-tech options (HydraFacial and Binary Premium). Book ahead if you want peak-hour slots.

Beach Reality Check (And Where To Swim Instead)

Like many Corridor resorts, the beach in front of Garza Blanca isn’t swimmable due to currents and rip tides.

It’s fantastic for long, scenic walks and sunrise photos (I mean just look at our shot below!), but for safe swimming you’re better off popping over to Chileno Bay or Santa Maria, both a short drive away.

The resort says this plainly in the FAQ, which we appreciate.

But I have to reiterate again… the beach is gorgeous! And the view looking down from your balcony or the rooftop pool will not disappoint.

Atmosphere: Family-Friendly Without Feeling Chaotic

We loved how balanced the vibe felt.

Yes, families are here (there’s plenty of space for them), but with eight pools and designated adults-only areas, it’s easy to find your own quiet pocket—especially upstairs on the Rooftop.

If you’re chasing high-octane nightlife or foam-party energy, this isn’t your place.

If you want to turn your brain off in a beautiful, well-run resort with consistently excellent service, you’ll be happy… we certainly were!

What We’d Tell A Friend To Do

  • Claim a Rooftop daybed early and linger through sunset. Snack, nap, repeat.
  • Book dinner variety: Start with Blanca Blue one night and Hiroshi the next to see both sides of the culinary program.
  • Plan a swim day at Chileno or Santa Maria if ocean time matters to you.
  • Leave space for the spa—even just hydro and a massage with a view can reset your whole week.

Our happy place. The rooftop pool at Garza Blanca really is something else, and we can't wait to go back!

Bottom Line

Garza Blanca Los Cabos nails the modern-luxury, low-stress formula: design that feels fresh, service that quietly anticipates you, food that’s actually good at the pool, and enough pool variety that everyone finds their happy place.

The non-swimmable beach is a trade-off—but the resort is honest about it and you’re close to safe coves anyway.

We’d gladly come back—especially for another Rooftop day with that view and a server who remembers your order.
