When travelers escape to the Montana wilderness, they are often hoping to see some wildlife up close. Guests and staff may have got more than they bargained for at Buck's T-4 Lodge in Big Sky when a black bear invaded the women's washroom.

The bear came in through an open window but was not able to climb back out. In a video captured by hotel staff, the young bear seems unfazed by its surroundings. After a little exploring the bear decides to relax and sprawl out between two sinks.

Staff decided to wait and see if the bear would find its own way out but it stayed put. Montana Fish & Wildlife plus the Sheriff's office were then called in to help with the situation.

While waiting for officials to arrive, the young bear got so comfortable that it ended up taking a little nap. Authorities then tranquilized the bear and were able to remove it from the lodge.

The bear will be transported to another area of Montana and released back into the wild.

"Huge shout-out to Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks for keeping our guests safe, while recognizing what a once-in-a-lifetime experience it was. They were professional and safe, and provided a great opportunity for folks to learn a little bit about wildlife"
