The tourism industry was completely shut down by the pandemic but has now started its recovery by opening its borders for international tourism
Here are all the latest COVID-19 entry requirements for St. Kitts and Nevis and everything travelers need to know before booking their trip.
Countries Permitted To Visit St. Kitts and Nevis
The following regions may travel to St. Kitts and Nevis for tourism:
- CARICOM Member States
- U.S.
- Canada
- UK
- Europe
- Africa
- South America
Travel Authorization To Visit St. Kitts and Nevis
All travelers must get travel authorization before traveling to St. Kitts and Nevis.
COVID-19 Vaccine Entry Requirements
As of July, 2021, St. Kitts and Nevis has made proof of vaccination mandatory for foreign tourists to enter.
A traveler is considered fully vaccinated, 14 days after their second dose of a two-dose vaccine series (e.g., Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford, Sinovac or Sinopharm) or two weeks after the traveler has received a single dose vaccine (e.g., Johnson & Johnson’s/Janssen). As of July 12, St. Kitts & Nevis accepts a mixed vaccine doses of two dose regimens of AstraZeneca/Oxford, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Sinovac and Sinopharm.
COVID-19 Testing Entry Requirements
All travelers must upload an official COVID 19 PCR negative test result from a CDC/UKAS approved lab taken within 72 hours of travel. They should also bring a copy of the negative COVID 19 PCR test for their trip.
Quarantine Entry Requirements
24-hour quarantine at hotel
Starting October 7, 2021, the quarantine period for fully vaccinated travelers has been shortened from 4 days, down to only 24 hours.
In those first 24 hours, the tourist will stay at an approved hotel, resort, or rental, and will be tested. Upon receiving a negative result, they can fully integrate.
COVID-19 Travel Insurance Entry Requirements
All incoming travelers should have travel insurance the covers COVID-19 for the duration of their trip to St. Kitts and Nevis.
COVID-19 Health Requirements While in St. Kitts and Nevis
All visitors must follow COVID-19 health requirements while in St. Kitts and Nevis:
- All individuals will be required to wear masks in public
- Follow social distancing markers and instructions
Approved Hotels For St. Kitts and Nevis
All visitors must stay in approved hotels only and must be booked and paid for before traveling to St. Kitts and Nevis. The permitted hotels are:
- Four Seasons
- Koi Resort, by Curio, Hilton
- Marriott Vacation Beach Club
- Paradise Beach
- Park Hyatt
- Royal St. Kitts Hotel
- St. Kitts Marriott Resort
Travelers can only stay at private residences or AirBnb's that has been pre-approved by the government, at their own expense, plus the cost of security.
Regular Visa Entry Requirements For St. Kitts and Nevis
The United States, Canada and Europe do not need a visa to visit St. Kitts and Nevis. Check the map below to ensure you can visit visa free.
Travelers that require a visa must apply at a St Kitts and Nevis embassy/consulate/agency in their home country.
