St. Kitts and Nevis is well known for being a tropical beach destination with lush tropical forest and lagoons. 

The tourism industry was completely shut down by the pandemic but has now started its recovery by opening its borders for international tourism 

Here are all the latest COVID-19 entry requirements for St. Kitts and Nevis and everything travelers need to know before booking their trip.

St. Kitts and Nevis Reopening Borders For Tourism In October

Countries Permitted To Visit St. Kitts and Nevis

The following regions may travel to St. Kitts and Nevis for tourism:

  • CARICOM Member States
  • U.S.
  • Canada
  • UK
  • Europe
  • Africa
  • South America

Travel Authorization To Visit St. Kitts and Nevis

All travelers must get travel authorization before traveling to St. Kitts and Nevis.

COVID-19 Testing Entry Requirements 

All travelers must upload an official COVID 19 PCR negative test result from a CDC/UKAS approved lab taken within 72 hours of travel. They should also bring a copy of the negative COVID 19 PCR test for their trip.

Quarantine Entry Requirements 

All travelers must stay within their approved hotel for the first 7 days but free to move about the hotel property, interact with other guests and partake in hotel activities.

On day 8-14 travelers may take another COVID-19 PCR test and if they test negative, may take part in select tour excursions through a verified tour company. The test will be at the cost of the traveler (USD $150).

Travelers staying for 14 days or longer will need to undergo another PCR-test (USD $150) on day 14, and if they test negative, the traveler will be allowed to integrate into St. Kitts and Nevis.

COVID-19 Travel Insurance Entry Requirements 

All incoming travelers should have travel insurance the covers COVID-19 for the duration of their trip to St. Kitts and Nevis.

All visitors must follow COVID-19 health requirements while in St. Kitts and Nevis:

  • All individuals will be required to wear masks in public
  • Follow social distancing markers and instructions

Approved Hotels For St. Kitts and Nevis

All visitors must stay in approved hotels only and must be booked and paid for before traveling to St. Kitts and Nevis. The permitted hotels are: 

  1. Four Seasons
  2. Koi Resort, by Curio, Hilton
  3. Marriott Vacation Beach Club
  4. Paradise Beach
  5. Park Hyatt
  6. Royal St. Kitts Hotel
  7. St. Kitts Marriott Resort

Travelers can only stay at private residences or AirBnb's that has been pre-approved by the government, at their own expense, plus the cost of security. 

COVID-19 Vaccine Entry Requirements 

A vaccine for COVID-19 is not yet available to the public. St. Kitts and Nevis has not announced any mandates on a proof of vaccine record (POVR) for entry.  

Regular Visa Entry Requirements For St. Kitts and Nevis

The United States, Canada and Europe do not need a visa to visit St. Kitts and Nevis. Check the map below to ensure you can visit visa free. 
Travelers that require a visa must apply at a St Kitts and Nevis embassy/consulate/agency in their home country.

St. Kitts and Nevis Covid-19 Entry Requirements:

  1. Complete online travel authorization.
  2. Check if you require a visa to visit St. Kitts and Nevis.
  3. Upload your negative PCR test to the travel authorization.
  4. Book and confirm hotel confirmation and approved hotel.
  5. Follow quarantine requirements and testing schedule
  6. Follow all health protocols while in St. Kitts and Nevis.
