A recent travel trends analysis shared by Airbnb shows the top trending destinations in Canada according to recent research from users.
For the study, experts at Airbnb considered searched data entered by Canadian travelers during the first months of the year 2023 for stays with check-in dates from June 30 to July 4.
Locals are not always interested in the top destinations for international travelers —we already noticed that with the top 7 destinations in Europe for locals— and, in this case, search growth from the past few weeks can reveal fascinating insight for travelers.
These are the top 7 trending destinations in Canada according to search data gathered by Airbnb:
Prince Edward County, Ontario
The Canadian province of Ontario is —without a doubt— one of the most interesting destinations for travelers in Canada, and Prince Edward County has been getting a lot of attention during the past few weeks.
In the heart of Ontario, this county is known for its vineyards and culinary experiences. Travelers enjoy wine tours and visiting historic sites and museums.
Also, the sand dunes, one of the top natural attractions here since the early 1800s, offer travelers great beach-like experiences in Lake Ontario and fascinating landscapes.
