Fyi Mazatlan's Malecon is only 7km (4.35 miles) not 13 miles, 13 miles is from olas altas to playa bruya but the malecon is only from paseo centenario to valentinos... sorry just had to share the correct info as it's a pet peeve of mine that it is constantly misstated on internet.
