WOW Air has officially cancelled all flights and shut down all operations. In an official statement, the company is urging passengers to find flights with other airlines. Passengers are stranded across two continents as they scramble to make alternative travel arrangements.
According to their website WOW Air will NOT be issuing refunds and passengers must check with their credit card provider if a refund can be issued.

WOW airlines was a low cost airline based out of Iceland that launched in 2012. In 2015 the airline expanded to North America. By November, 2018 the company was showing signs of financial trouble.
Over the last couple days WOW air has cancelled multiple flights and experienced long delays leading up to the full shut down on March 28th, 2018. The company had 11 aircraft serving 26 destinations with over 1000 employees.
How to get a refund from WOW air tickets?
WOW air is NOT issuing any refunds to customers that purchased tickets. Here are the four methods in which passengers can get a refund.
1. Passengers may check with their credit card companies to see if they are eligible for a refund.
2. Those covered by travel insurance will be able to make a claim to their insurance provider
3. People who booked through an European travel agent as part of a package may be protected by the Package Travel Directive. Contact your travel agent who may be able to arrange an alternate flight.
4. Passengers may be entitled to compensation from WOW air in accordance with European Air Passenger Rights. In case of a bankruptcy, claims should be filed directly with the liquidator.
