Air Canada Vacations has once again expanded its flight offerings including new non-stop flights from Calgary to Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. The move comes as no surprise as the Canadian government announced reduced quarantines in lieu of COVID-19 testing starting on November 2nd at the Calgary International Airport.
Last month 17 additional non-stop flights were added from Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver to the Caribbean and Mexico.

New Calgary Flights To Cancun & Puerto Vallarta
Beginning on December 18th, passengers from Calgary will be able to fly non-stop to Cancun twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Additionally, Air Canada Vacations has added non-stop flights operating twice weekly from Calgary to Puerto Vallarta departing Fridays and Sundays.

Calgary Offers Reduced Quarantines Upon Returning Home
A new pilot project for Canada has been launched at the Calgary International Airport that will drop the mandatory quarantine in lieu of Rapid COVID-19 testing.
The federal government of Canada, along with the provincial government in Alberta, have jointly announced that a new pilot program launched in Alberta will see the mandatory 14-day quarantine greatly reduced to around 48 hours for travelers returning home.
For example, a Calgarian traveler could take a vacation to Puerto Vallarta and upon returning home be released from quarantine within 48 hours if test results are negative.

Flights Announced Last Month From Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver
Throughout November, Travel Week reported that Air Canada Vacations will add flights from Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal to destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico including:
- Antigua
- Aruba
- Cozumel
- Curaçao
- Liberia
- Puerto Vallarta
- Los Cabos
- San Jose
- Saint Lucia
- Varadero
- Ixtapa/Zihuantanejo

Vancouver:
- Puerto Vallarta on Sundays
- Cancun on Fridays
- Los Cabos and Ixtapa sn Saturdays
Toronto:
- Antigua on Sundays
- Aruba on Saturdays and Sundays
- Los Cabos on Wednesdays
- Puerto Vallarta on Thursdays
- Liberia on Fridays
- Varadero on Saturdays
- St Lucia on Saturdays
- Curaçao on Tuesdays starting November 17th
- Cozumel on Thursdays as of November 19th
Montreal:
- Varadero on Fridays
- Cozumel on Mondays starting on November 16th

Air Canada Vacations Offers Free COVID-19 Insurance
Air Canada Vacations is offering free COVID-19 medical insurance for all passengers to select destinations. The coverage through Allianz Global covers up to $200,000 in unexpected costs due to COVID-19.
Travelers should keep in mind that the free insurance does not cover any medical expenses that are not related to COVID-19.
Travel Off Path recommends that all travelers have additional travel insurance in case of non covid related emergencies.

Travel In Style To Cancun With Air Canada
In late October, Air Canada is offering the rare chance to fly on its all business class planes that are usually reserved for professional sports teams and celebrities.
The routes will fly from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal to holiday hot spots such as Cancun, Barbados, Fort Myers and Palm Springs.
