Disney Cruise Line has released its itinerary for early 2023. The itinerary released by the company lists a range of different cruise options and destinations for travelers, as the much-loved cruise line looks to put all the struggles that various cruise lines have suffered throughout the pandemic well and truly behind them over the coming few months.
Founded in 1995, Disney Cruise Line allows families to meet their favorite Disney characters whilst on board, recreating their magical theme park experience and providing unforgettable moments that have unfortunately been an unavailable option throughout the pandemic due to the no-sail ordered issued by the CDC. Here’s a closer look at the early 2023 itinerary released by Disney Cruise Line and what restrictions they have in place.
Disney’s 2023 Itinerary – Information For Travelers
Disney Cruise Line’s early 2023 cruising itinerary will see the company return to some of the most popular cruise destinations in the world, including the Bahamas, the Caribbean and the Mexican Riviera. Their announcement also means that travelers are now able to book Disney cruises that will take place through to the middle of 2023, giving them lots of options for vacations in the future and plenty of time to plan and save.
Disney Cruise Line ships due to set sail in early 2023 will do so from a number of different ports around the US. From Florida, ships will depart from Miami and Port Canaveral, whilst those leaving from Texas will do so from Galveston, and cruises departing from California will do so from San Diego, meaning travelers on either coast will be covered. There will also be a cruise leaving from New Orleans.
Port Canaveral will see the new Disney Wish ship departing from its shores on three and four-night trips, and it will also be home to the Disney Fantasy ship, which will offer seven-night trips to the Caribbean. Miami will see the Disney Dream cruise ship head off on four and five-night cruises to locations such as Cozumel and Nassau. Each of the three ships departing from Florida will also visit Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.
Galveston will welcome Disney Magic in January and February for a series of different cruise options, ranging from four to seven nights and heading to top cruising destinations such as the Bahamas and Mexico. Disney Magic will then offer a range of cruise options departing from New Orleans for the first time, taking place in February and March and heading to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. From San Diego, Disney Wonder will leave for a series of short trips, heading to the Baja peninsula.
General booking for these trips does not open until October 24th, but the tiered booking system will open this week. It is as follows:
- Thursday October 14th – Platinum Members, Golden Oak Club Members and Club 33 Members
- Friday October 15th – Gold Castaway Club members
- Monday October 18th – Silver Members, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Insiders
- Thursday October 21st – first-time cruisers will be able to book.
Disney Cruise Line has a series of strict measures in place in order to protect both crew and passengers against Covid-19. Guests 12 years of age and older must be vaccinated, whilst guests 11 years of age and under must provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test prior to travel. All guests must take a Covid-19 test at the terminal prior to boarding, which will be provided and paid for by Disney Cruise Line.
