During the pandemic, those wishing to escape south have been looking towards Ecuador for their easier to fulfill entry requirements than many other countries in the region.

Countries Permitted To Visit Ecuador
Travelers from all countries are permitted to visit Ecuador under regular visa requirements.
Testing Requirements For Entry into Ecuador
Pre-Flight Testing Required.
All nations will need to show proof of a negative PCR test, taken no longer than 10-days before arrival into Ecuador.
Update: As of December 22 until further notice, and due to a muted strain of the virus, all passengers from the EU, UK, Australia, and South Africa will have additional testing requirements. Upon arrival, they will also be given a rapid antigen test at the airport, and subject to a 5-day quarantine with negative test results.
Ecuador's Quarantine Entry Requirements
Most Nations: No quarantine is applied for travelers who fulfill the 10-day negative PCR test requirement.
EU/UK/South Africa/Australia: All arrivals from these areas must quarantine for 5 days upon arrival, even with negative test results. Arrivals must quarantine at the following approved hotels.
COVID-19 Health Requirements While in Ecuador
All visitors must follow these COVID-19 health requirements while in Ecuador:
- Wearing a mask is required in all public spaces, both indoor and outdoor
- Social distancing is in effect
- On Dec 21, 2020 for 15 days, a curfew is in effect from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am and alcohol sales are prohibited during this time
- Shops, hotels, and restaurants are all open, but have capacity limits
Does Ecuador Have Vaccine Entry Requirements?
Ecuador has not announced any mandates if a proof of vaccine record will be required to enter in the near future.
Visa Entry Requirements For Ecuador
Most countries worldwide can visit Ecuador visa-free for up to 90 days, including Canada, the UK, and the USA.
