I honestly love everything about staying in a hotel and have logged over 1000 nights in the last 5 years.
There's only one thing I don't like and that's overpaying for a room. My ultimate travel hack and my number one secret to saving money while traveling is the Booking.com Genius Level reward program. It takes only two stays within two years to get to the first level and start saving 10% off hotels.
I have to be honest, I had no idea there were different Genius levels on Booking until I reached the top level and started saving HUGE!
What is the Booking.com Genius Level rewards program?
The Booking.com Genius rewards program is based on the more stays you book, the more you are rewarded. The loyalty program gives big discounts of up to 20% on hotels and perks such as free breakfast and free room upgrades. Whenever I'm comparing accommodation pricing, no other hotel search engine can beat my Genius level 3 pricing.
How Do You Reach Genius Level One on Booking.com?
To unlock Genius Level One on Booking you must complete two stays within two years. Once achieved, it's a lifetime membership with no further requirements to maintain Genius Level One.
How Do You Reach Genius Level Two on Booking.com?
To unlock Genius Level Two on Booking you must complete 5 stays within two years. Once achieved, it's a lifetime membership with no further requirements to maintain Genius Level Two.
How Do You Reach Genius Level Three on Booking.com?
The Booking Genius Rewards program just launched their brand new Genius Level 3! This is the top tier which allows up to 20% discounts.
Is there a Genius Level 3 on Booking.com?
Genius Level 3 on Booking has officially launched!
To qualify for level 3, members must stay a minimum of 15 stays in the last 2 years.
How Many Genius Levels Are There on Booking.com?
There are three Genius levels on booking.com. Genius Level 1 gives you 10% off your hotel stay. Genius Level 2 gives you 15% off your hotel stay, plus FREE breakfast and FREE room upgrades on select hotels. (There are tons of Genius hotels and all the big brands take part in the program).

In order for a hotel to qualify for the Genius level program, the hotels must have a minimum guest review score of 7.5.
Can You Still Get Hotel Points When You Book A Hotel On Booking.com?
Sometimes. If you collect points through a certain chain of hotels be sure to add your points number to your portfolio upon check in. This way you save money with your Genius Level Booking, earn rewards and you still might collect loyalty points with your favorite brand of hotel. Not all brands will allow it so be sure to check with the front desk upon check in. If you add your loyalty number you may still get perks such as free internet or upgrades on top of the Booking.com perks but not collect points on the stay. Each hotel chain/brand has different rules.

Just seeking clarification, do the stays need to be booked with genius hotels to qualify as stays towards level 3 genius status, or can you book any hotel on booking.com?

Please define " Stay " . Is it the number of nights or is it the number of unique locations, no matter how many nights at 1 location ?
There seems there could easily be a unfairness of, 1 location involving a single night stay vs. 1 location, involving a 3 night stay.
Please clarify.

Hi, I'm Brii, Level 3 Genius. I choose Booking not only for the lower prices, but MOSTLY for the "protection" the give me before, during and after a stay. An Example? The Marriott in Banja Luka charged me for the Internet that was said was free on the Booking.com web site. I got my money back. An other thing, in Malmö (Sweden) the hotels are ALWAYS cheaper on Booking than calling and book by yourself. Believe me I've tried several of them. Sometimes even as member (f.ex First Hotel) I have more discount booking with Boooking.com

Soooo there's really no difference between Genius Level 2 and 3 except that sometimes, maybe, the discount might be "up to" 20% rather than 15%. This is what I was searching for, since I can't get a response from booking dot com re this question. Not much of a level-up, is it.
