If you’re looking to bag cheap flights to one of the most iconic destinations in Europe, then there’s never been a better time to book.

JetBlue has launched new daily nonstop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS).

From September 20 the airline will add another route to their roster taking off from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and landing in Amsterdam Schiphol.

JetBlue Launches New Flights Making This European Destination More Affordable Than Ever

This is the third transatlantic destination that JetBlue is offering nonstop service to. They introduced direct flights to London in August 2021 and Paris in June 2023.

This means that traveling directly from the U.S. to Amsterdam will now be more affordable than ever and that travelers from the U.S. will have access to a wider range of airline and flight options.

Choices For Budget Travelers

To celebrate the launch of their new route, JetBlue is offering discounted flights for a limited time.

Travelers can snap up roundtrip fares starting from $2,199 at Mint Level or $499 for Core level flights.

According to JetBlue, customers who book directly through jetblue.com are guaranteed to find the lowest available fares as well as access to these introductory rates.

Why Visit Amsterdam

Amsterdam isn’t the cheapest destination in Europe, but it has a lot to offer to budget travelers and culture vultures, as well as those looking for a more luxurious break.

Many people mistakenly assume that Amsterdam has nothing more to offer its visitors than its lax drug laws and accompanying café culture and its infamous redlight district. It tends to attract a young and hedonistic crowd as a result.

But the reality is that Amsterdam is a beautiful country with a rich history and an abundance of cultural attractions.

Both modern art and the works of the Dutch Masters are well represented in the city, and taking a cruise of the canals is a great way to explore the city’s unique architecture.

A fascinating but somber experience is a visit to Ann Frank’s House. This is a building where the young diarist hid with her family during the Second World War and wrote her world-famous account of the time. The building has been preserved as a museum.

Like many big cities, visitors should be aware of pickpockets operating in Amsterdam, and both female and solo travelers are advised to avoid the redlight district at night.

But Amsterdam is a warm and welcoming city with much to offer global travelers hoping to embrace a rich European culture.

Amsterdam in Fall

Fall is considered to be one of the best times of the year to visit Amsterdam.

Amsterdam in Autumn

The huge number of tourists that visit the city during the summer months have started to decrease and what’s left is a city covered in beautiful rich foliage, plenty of seasonal cultural events, and a wonderful cozy ambiance.

The beautiful foliage brightens the streets and looks particularly pretty when they land on the surfaces of the city’s 165 canals.

What’s more, if you are traveling on a budget, then as well as bagging affordable flights from JetBlue you will also find that hotel rates are much cheaper in the fall than they are during the summer months.

Fall is a great time to cozy up in a traditional Amsterdam pub and simply enjoy the ambiance surrounded by the locals.
