An excited passenger was treated to a “private jet” experience when he unexpectedly was the only traveler on board.
Vincent Peone was traveling with Delta Air Lines to Salt Lake City when he found out he would be flying alone on the plane. When he went to the check in desk, he discovered he was about to enjoy the type of solo flight usually reserved for the very wealthy.
The film director told the Washington Post that it was likely because the flight had been rescheduled.
“I didn’t know that I was the only person on the flight. So I arrived at the airport, which is a very tiny airport, and at the desk, they were like, “I don’t know if we even need to make the announcement, because it’s just you.”

Once he was aware this would be a once in a lifetime experience, he seized the moment and documented the journey on video.
The video starts with him at the gate, where the ground crew announced, “will the only passenger on this flight kindly board at this time,” then called his name.
He was then privately escorted to the plane by a member of staff.
As he boarded, ground crew loaded sandbags on to the aircraft to “add weight” to the empty plane.
The flight attendant still followed all regulations and gave Peone his own personal welcome and safety announcement.
"Good evening sir, and welcome aboard. We look forward to taking care of you today. If you need any assistance getting settled we'd be delighted to serve you."

Before taking off Peone had the opportunity to shake hands with the pilots and thanked them for flying him.
The 35-year-old explained that while it costs around $30,000 to fly that plane, it was likely needed to collect passengers from Salt Lake City, which was why it was forced to fly with just one passenger.
Twitter users loved that he documented the experience with his video racking up almost 1 million views. One user commented that it was “incredible”
Many responses weren't about the experience, but about the “hot pilot”.
One person said: “Let’s talk about that hot pilot.”
Another said “I hate flying & there is not much that would convince me to board a plane. However, if I knew that the co-pilot in this video would be on my flight, I’d be the first one in line at the departure gate!
