Looking for cruise lines that don't charge extra for solo travelers?

Cruising is becoming easier than ever for solo travelers with the introduction of more and more single-occupancy cabins on cruise ships.

Previously, all cruise ship cabins were based on double occupancy, with solo travelers generally having to pay a “single supplement” of 200% to travel alone.

But with solo travel continuing to be one of the biggest travel trends of the year and solo cruising increasing in popularity, cruise lines are starting to take a hint.

New ships are being delivered with single cabins specially designed for solo travelers. This allows solo travelers to avoid paying double for a cabin, and some ships even have designated activities, events, and lounge spaces for solo travelers who want to meet other cruisers.

Here are the cruise lines that currently offer single cabins:

2. Cunard Line

Cunard is another cruise line that offers single cabins for solo travelers. Its two newest ships, the Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Victoria, are each outfitted with nine solo cabins.
