Arizona is full of spots that are perfect for a memorable photo! Whether you’re looking for a fun mural to take some pictures in front of or an all-around aesthetic lodging experience, here are 10 amazing Instagram-able spots in this gorgeous desert state.
1. Antelope Canyon
This unique slot canyon is a great place to take some colorful, fun, and outdoorsy photos! The one-of-a-kind rock formations are sure to make for a memorable, eye-catching Instagram post, and you'll also get a great adventure to go along with the photos! Located in Navajo Nation, the canyon is currently open to the public via tour.
2. Tempe Town Lake Pedestrian Bridge
If you’re looking for a scenic and urban spot to take some cute photos without traveling too far from Phoenix, check out Tempe Town Lake Pedestrian Bridge. This beautiful bridge makes a great backdrop for photos. Consider heading over in the late afternoon – The area is especially stunning at sunset.
3. Roosevelt Row
Roosevelt Row is a vibrant art district in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to being home to a ton of artsy shops, Roosevelt Row also has several murals that are perfect for photo backdrops! Some – but not all – of the murals you can look forward to include paintings of feathered wings and colorful skulls.
4. Camelback Mountain
Here’s another great option for those looking to get some outdoorsy photos or a bit of exercise! Camelback Mountain overlooks the city of Phoenix, and a summit will provide stunning views of the town below. This makes it a great spot to take a memorable photo! The hike isn't too long (2.5 miles), however, it is pretty steep. Because of that, this option is probably best for photo concepts that include practical clothing/shoes, and may not be ideal for younger children.
5. Desert Botanical Garden
If you’re looking for some memorable, nature-themed photos without any of the uphill hiking that comes with Camelback Mountain, consider heading over to the Desert Botanical Garden. The garden features a ton of gorgeous desert trails that make for a great shot. Thanks to the fairly level ground, this is an especially great option for getting some outdoor family photos, as well as photos in more formal or fancy attire. Timed reservations tickets are currently required to visit.
6. Hotel Adeline
If you’re looking for some great lodging as well as a super Instagram-able spot, consider staying at Hotel Adeline in Scottsdale, Arizona. This lush boutique hotel features a gorgeous palm tree liked pool as well as beautifully decorated rooms. In addition to a comfortable stay, you can also look forward to various additional amenities including a poolside bar and occasional live music.
7. Sugar Bowl
Grab a bite to eat and take some retro-themed photos with a visit to Sugar Bowl! This Scottsdale eatery truly looks and feels like a classic, all-American diner from the 1950s. The unique ambiance, as well as pink theme colors, make this a great spot to take some photos for Instagram!
8. Devil's Bridge
Here's another great option for nature lovers. This one, like Camelback Mountain, does require a little bit of a hike. You'll take a 3.9-mile trail to Devil’s Bridge, the largest natural sandstone arch in Sedona. This natural wonder makes for a super fun outing as well as memorable photos!
9. Tombstone, Arizona
If you’re looking to take some one-of-a-kind photos, consider heading out to Tombstone! This old West-themed town is a great place to take photos. You can also look forward to checking out the town’s underground mine tours or viewing a reenacted gunfight.
10. Grand Canyon National Park
No list talking about places to take some memorable photos in Arizona would be complete without mentioning the Grand Canyon! With several scenic overlooks, this is an excellent spot to snap some shots! Consider visiting near sun up or sundown to get some especially vibrant views and gorgeous lighting.
