The United States is home to several gorgeous and memorable National Parks. These parks exist as a way to both protect the stunning natural environments within and allow visitors to enjoy some time quality time outdoors. From crystal clear lakes to bubbling hot springs, here are 10 unforgettable national parks for your next getaway or camping trip.

1. Yellowstone National Park
America’s first National Park, Yellowstone is truly like no place on earth. In addition to being the home of a variety of wildlife, including bison and grizzly bears, the park also features stunning thermal features. Such features include the iconic Old Faithful Geyser as well as hot springs such as the Grand Prismatic Spring.
2. Yosemite National Park
Located in California, Yosemite National Park features a variety of stunning views and hiking trails. Visitors will have no shortage of sightseeing options to choose from, ranging from wildlife viewing to gorgeous waterfalls.
3. Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park is located in Arizona. The park is home to most of the iconic Grand Canyon. Visitors have several options in how they’d like to experience this park. There are several viewing areas on top of the canyon, as well as the possibility of taking a tour or hiking to various areas of the canyon.
4. Crater Lake National Park
The deepest lake in the continental United States, Crater Lake is also known for its incredibly clear blue waters. The park has several hiking trails and opportunities for viewing wildlife. Visitors can also hike down to the lake shore to take a tour out to Wizard Island or go for a swim in the lake. Potential visitors should keep in mind that the lake is generally very cold year round and not suitable for more than a quick dip.
5. Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is located Montana. It features several stunning views as well as activity options. Visitors can enjoy hiking, backcountry tours, and boating, amongst other things at Glacier National Park. The park is also home to various wildlife.
6. Denali National Park
Located in Alaska, Denali National Park is a truly memorable national park. The park consists of six million acres of untamed wilderness and is home to various animals including Grizzly bears and moose. Some areas of the park are currently closed, but visitors will find the majority of the areas can still be enjoyed.
7. Everglades National Park
Everglades National Park is located in Florida. It makes up the largest subtropical wilderness in America. The park is home to a variety of interesting wildlife, including snakes, deer, and alligators. Guests can choose from several ways to experience the park, including through boating and through guided tours.
8. Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Located in the Appalachian Mountains, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to gorgeous scenery. Visitors also have a variety of outdoor activities to choose from, including hiking, horseback riding, and fishing. The park also features several historical sites and buildings for those curious to learn more about the history of the land.
9. Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree National Park is located in California. It is notable for being the spot where two deserts – the Mojave and the Colorado – meet. The park offers views of gorgeous scenery, plants, and wildlife. Visitors can choose from several ways to experience the park, including day trips and camping. Joshua Tree is also a popular location for rock climbing, though seasonal climbing closures are often in effect until June to protect wildlife.
10. Shenandoah National Park
Located in Virginia, Shenandoah National Park is well known for its natural beauty. The park is home to the stunning skyline drive, a highway notable for its scenic views. Visitors can also enjoy the numerous waterfalls and other natural wonders in the park.
