With shows in Las Vegas re-opening, it’s the perfect time to go catch one on your next trip to the city. You may be wondering what some of your options are – what’s re-opened or even new. Here are six fantastic suggestions for some truly memorable shows to go see in 2022.
1. Cirque Du Soleil's “O”
After a long hiatus, Cirque du Soleil is back in Las Vegas. There are currently five shows running, and all of them are high-quality and dazzling productions. “O” however earns a spot on this list for being one of Cirque du Soleil’s classic productions, as well as its unique aquatic features that make it unlike any other circus show. The show is currently running at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. There are generally two shows per night – one at 7:00 PM and a later show at 9:30 PM. The runtime for “O” is 90 minutes, which can also make this a great option for families with younger children – catching the 7 PM show won’t push their bedtime too far back. Tickets are available online, as well as in-person at the box office. Due to the show's popularity tickets do sell out, making it a good idea to purchase them as soon as plans allow.
2. David Copperfield
Do you believe in magic? Regardless of the answer, renowned magician David Copperfield puts on a truly spectacular show. Copperfield rose to fame with his awe-inspiring and mind-boggling illusions, such as making the Statue of Liberty appear to vanish. He has been hailed as one of the greatest illusionists of all time. You can look forward to seeing some of these incredible stunts yourself by catching one of his shows at MGM Grand. Shows typically run nightly, and tickets are available for purchase online. Meet and Greet opportunities, which include taking a photograph of the famous magician and an autographed picture, are also available.
3. Blue Man Group
If you’re looking for a truly unique show to see on your next trip to Vegas, you can’t go wrong with catching a performance by the Blue Man Group. Featuring visually stunning musical performances and of course the iconic blue-skinned performers, the show quickly rose to global fame. Catch one of their performances in person at the Luxor Hotel and Casino. Shows are overall family-friendly, though the loud music along with the dramatic lighting that is featured in the show may be overwhelming for some younger audience members. Additionally, children under the age of three are admitted at management's discretion and are required to sit on an adult's lap. Tickets are available for purchase online here.
4. V The Ultimate Variety Show
Not totally sure what sort of entertainment you're looking for? Not to worry – V The Variety Show is a high-quality, highly memorable show that offers you a little bit of everything. This family-friendly show features mind-boggling magic tricks, daredevil stunts, comedians, in addition to other acts. Located at Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino, you can purchase tickets online, as well as in person at the box office. Additionally, like many shows in Vegas, tickets can sell out. If your heart is set on catching a showing of V on a specific night, you may want to purchase tickets ahead of time.
