There are times we just want to relax in private, watch the ocean go by and enjoy a great meal from the comfort of our stateroom. Up until a few years ago the luxury of room service was free on all major cruise lines. Room service was included with cruise fares so there were no extra fees to worry about. That is no longer the case as fewer cruise lines are offering the luxury of free room service.
Cruising is more popular then ever and many major cruise lines over the last couple years have stopped providing this free service. The latest cruise line to end free room service happens to be the largest player in the market Carnival Cruises. Great news is that there are still cruise lines that offer free room service as of 2020!
Cruise Lines That Offer Free Room Service
1. Celebrity Cruises
On Celebrity Cruises room service is free on all sailings with the exception of a late night fee of $4.95 from 11 pm until 6 am. Their in-room breakfast also includes hot offerings such as scrambled eggs and bacon. Suite guests enjoy complimentary room service 24 hours a day.
2. Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises offers 24 hour free room service on all sailings. Weather it's a quick sandwich for lunch or an in-suite balcony dinner, room service is complimentary and included with your cruise fare. There are premium items on the room service menu that do have a fee.
3. Disney Cruises
Disney Cruises offers 24 hour free room service included with the price of your cruise. Fresh and made to order dishes can be delivered to your room. There are select premium items that do have a fee.
4. Cunard Cruises
Cunard cruises include complimentary room service available 24 hours a day in all staterooms and suites. Queens and Princess Grill guests can enjoy in-room dining with menu selections from the Queens and Princess Grill restaurants.
5. Holland America Cruises
Holland America cruises offers complimentary 24 hour in-room dining and room service. Some premium menu items do have a fee.
6. Silversea Cruises
Luxury cruise line Silversea includes complimentary course by course in room dining 24 hours a day.
7. Regent Cruises
The top rated ultra luxury cruise line Regent includes complimentary course by course in room dining 24 hours a day.
Major Cruise Lines Room Service Fees
- Royal Caribbean room service fee: $7.95 + 18% gratuity
- Carnival room service fee: $2.00 to $4.00 per item
- Norwegian room service fee: $7.95 per order
- MSC Cruises: Fees based on category booked
