California will soon be home to a new downtown hotel, along with a separate waterfront resort in the coming months.

Both locations will be in sunny San Diego on opposite sides of the city. The first to open will be located in the bustling Gaslamp district located downtown.

The other property will be a laid-back waterfront resort set to open in the scenic neighborhood of Mission Bay near some of San Diego’s most sought-after beaches.

Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The Gaslamp district is the heartbeat of San Diego’s downtown nightlife and entertainment scene.

Across the street from this new hotel are popular bars and restaurants. A block away is Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres and many concerts throughout the year.

Maybe even more convenient is the world-renowned convention center, home to Comic-Con and packed business conferences all year long.

That’s why the latest addition to Margaritaville’s portfolio is prime real estate for vacationers looking to have the time of their lives in Southern California.

There will be 3 different restaurants on site where guests can feast on a cheeseburger in paradise:

  • Margaritaville Coffee Shop
  • 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar
  • Landshark Bar & Grill

Guests can expect luxe amenities in the recently remodeled rooms for every type of traveler, such as:

There will be ample space for business meetings in designated spaces until Happy Hour kicks in at the bar.

The hotel will also offer unique wedding packages at this urban downtown oasis. The Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is scheduled to open at a date to be determined in July 2023.

Frozen concoctions and delicious grub will be on par with their signature brand, where guests can indulge at the glistening pool or bayside thing in the views.

This island retreat is designed to be the ultimate relaxing getaway with easy access to a world-class, award-winning spa offering a variety of sensational services.

While boaters can’t pull up to the downtown location, this hotel will have a full-service marina on site.

San Diego is a city that must be explored. Given the close proximity to some of San Diego’s most popular beaches, guests will have easy access for a fun day out in the sun.

Those looking to visit the beach will be near 3 different beaches all with their own personality:

  • Mission Beach
  • Ocean Beach
  • Pacific Beach

Mission Beach is the closest to the resort, where tourists flock in the summer. Beachgoers will find a beautiful beach with crashing white waves.

Along the packed boardwalk, tourists can walk over to the small beachside amusement park, Belmont Park, with a roller coaster, carnival games, miniature golf and restaurants.
