Thai Airways has made the decision to resume dozens of international flights to destinations around the world, as restrictions ease and the country targets tourism. The decision comes in the wake of the news revealed last week that the strong travel restrictions imposed by Thailand at the start of the pandemic, such as mandatory quarantine, are set to come to an end for millions of potential travelers in the coming few weeks.

The decision to relaunch flights shows how seriously the tourism-dependent nation is taking the decision to open up to the world once more, and suggests that they will be keen to avoid the same mistake that other rival destinations have made in recent days – having no international flights ready. Here's a look at which Thai Airways routes are set to restart in a few weeks.

Thai Airways Routes To Resume – Information For Travelers

The flag-carrying airline of Thailand, Thai Airways has always been synonymous with class, service and high standards, and has long since served as the airline of choice for both backpackers and luxury holidays making their way to the Land of Smiles. With the pandemic forcing many would-be travelers to stay at home, Thai Airways scaled back their operations to match the low demand – though that is all set to change.

The airline is set to resume its full range of services on 36 foreign routes, anticipating pent-up demand from foreign tourists in the wake of Thailand’s restrictions easing. With the resumption of most of these services set to begin on October 31st, those planning to visit Thailand this winter could well see Thai Airways flights listed alongside the usual suspects when it comes to booking a flight in the coming weeks. 

Thai Airways resumption of operations is truly a global affair, with routes to destinations in Europe, Asia and Australia all set to go live once more. Routes set to resume in order to support the Phuket Sandbox scheme are as follows:

• Bangkok-Phuket-London and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
• Bangkok-Phuket-Frankfurt and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
• Bangkok-Munich-Phuket-Bangkok, from Bangkok on Fridays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok-Phuket-Paris and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Bangkok-Phuket-Copenhagen and return, from Bangkok on Thursdays.
• Bangkok-Phuket-Stockholm and return, from Bangkok on Fridays.
• Bangkok-Zurich-Phuket-Bangkok, from Bangkok on Fridays.

Routes from Bangkok that will serve Europe and Asia are as follow:

• Bangkok to London and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
• Bangkok to Frankfurt and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
• Bangkok to Munich and return, from Bangkok on Sundays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Paris and return, from Bangkok on Sundays.
• Bangkok to Brussels and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays and Fridays
• Bangkok to Milan and return, from Bangkok on Thursdays and Saturdays (from Jan 1)
• Bangkok to Copenhagen and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays and Sundays.
• Bangkok to Stockholm and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Bangkok to Zurich and return, from Bangkok on Mondays and Wednesdays (once a week from Oct 31 to Dec 31).
• Bangkok to Sydney and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays and Sundays.

• Bangkok to Manila and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
• Bangkok to Osaka and return, from Bangkok on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
• Bangkok to Tokyo (Narita) and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
• Bangkok to Tokyo (Haneda) and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Nagoya and return, from Bangkok on Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
• Bangkok to Taipei and return, from Bangkok on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
• Bangkok to Seoul and return, with one flight a day.
• Bangkok to Hong Kong and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

• Bangkok to Singapore and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
• Bangkok to Jakarta and return, from Bangkok on Wednesdays.
• Bangkok to New Delhi and return, with one flight a day (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Mumbai and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Bengaluru and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Hyderabad and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays (from Jan 1).
• Bangkok to Chennai and return, from Bangkok on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (from Jan 1).
