Confusing conditional expectation needed to enter a country. Once a vaccine is available, no visa required and a health travel IATA approved pass then travel could be back to pre-pandemic mode. That will be the day for International travel again without hindrance.

I'm not back in thailand yet, you separated me and my wife apart at the border checkpoint Nong Khai - have I lost my family or not ?
We travelled together in our own car , but only 1 was able to get back to Thailand from Laos guess who ?
10 of December 1948 thailand was among the first countries to sign the human rights - guess what is says about splitting families apart ?
Well I'll rest my case for now.

if 14 day quarantine is still required, then its simply not worth it

I agree, if Thailand truly wants more tourists to apply and come, they're simply going to have to modify that 14 day quarantine period. England as well as Ireland are shortening the quarantine period for travelers, down to five days after a negative Covid-19 test.
