Vaccinations are moving at lightning speed in the U.S. and many states have now opened eligibility to all adults over the age of 18. This also includes out of state and even out of country travelers currently in the U.S.
Snowbirds Will and Mona Presley from Ontario, Canada have already had their first shot and are scheduled for their second dose according to CBC. “There is no restriction on citizenship or residency down here. We were treated like anybody else as far as residency,” Will Presley told CBC.
In some states, vaccines are plentiful and in almost every pharmacy, health center, grocery store, Walmart and at drive-thru stadiums around the country. This information is helpful for travelers such as snowbirds that are already in the U.S. and may not have the option to return home at this time.

Hi. Thank you for this helpful infomration.
Just one question: What about a tourist that is traveling into the US (for a business convention purpose) and has only the first dose of a non-approved FDA vaccine (AstraZeneca) and wants to take the second shot of Pfizer. Is this possible?
NOTE: There are several studies and countries that approve the use of AstraZeneca as the first dose and Pfizer as the second. They actually confirm that this combination is even better than two doses of AstraZeneca.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you @Kashlee,
The issue is that if I try to schedule an appointment (online) to get second dose (Pfizer) in any vaccination location (Walgreens, Walmart, etc.), there's no option to select AstraZeneca as first dose already taken and I'm afraid they could reject me at the vaccination time for not selecting "the right" option (which now are just 2: Pfizer and Moderna).
And if I say it's gonna be my first dose, that will not be completely accurate because I have taken the first AZ dose already and they will ask me for to schedule my second dose of Pfizer (which will not be possible for being outside US and of course because I'd be fully vaccinated already).
Thanks again and have a great day!

Roger, from everything we have seen from the USA they have been vaccinating all who want one since early 2021. (However, the US has not been mixing vaccines like Canada) Which shots you get are your business/choice and under the advice of a doctor. You can search on where/how to find a specific brand, but I can't advise you on mixing vaccines, as it's not my expertise.
