Universal Orlando Resort announced on Wednesday in a press release a new park ticket for a four-day experience for just $79 per person. Through September 30, travelers can now get the special price ticket to visit Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Guests with this new ticket can visit one theme park per day and can already book it online. According to the official website, those who get the special ticket can visit from May 6  till March 31, 2023. It must be used in less than a week, the ticket expires 6 days from its first use.

In addition, the company has announced a 20% discount per night at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort, one of Universal Orlando Resort hotels. This offer will be available from June 3 through August 13. Rates start at $176 per night and the promotion is valid for all types of rooms.

These new offers come as a response to travelers' demands this year, as many crave exciting vacation experiences now that all COVID-19-related restrictions have been eased and the pandemic is at a controlled stage.

Universal Orlando wants to be part of the summer travel family experience this year. The company stated in the press release: “With the continued expansion over the past few years, Universal Orlando Resort offers a thrilling combination of experiences throughout the resort for families to reclaim their summer vacation”.

The city of Orlando is among the top domestic destinations in the United States this summer and Universal Orlando wants protagonism in this trend. A few months ago, the amusement park announced that they will no longer require face masks outdoors or indoors and this measure remains in force.

What Travelers Must Know Before Visiting Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando has become one of the most anticipated experiences for the summer, and now, with the new cheap ticket, more families will be thrilled to visit the iconic theme parks. However, there are a few things travelers must know about the new ticket and about the parks before visiting.

The “2-Park 4-Day Base Ticket Dated”, as the new ticket is called, represents a great discount from the average $109 adult rate per day. Travelers can save over $350 with the new $79 four-day ticket! However, certain restrictions apply.

The new ticket is not valid for the Hogwarts Express and can’t be used by different guests. The terms and conditions section explains: “The above Admission Media is non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be used by the same person on all days. Standard entry includes biometric scan.”

Regarding the park, Universal Orlando recently shut down one of its most popular attractions in the Jurassic Park experience, the Pteranodon Flyers, for maintenance. The Hogwarts Express will be closed for scheduled maintenance from June 9 till June 18. If travelers don’t want to miss their favorite attractions, they must stay up to date with refurbishments and closures.

Also, from September 2 through October 31, Universal Orlando will premier a Halloween event that has raised high expectations since its announcement in March. The Halloween Horror Nights 2022 will allow visitors to experience the haunted houses of The Wolf Man, Dracula, and The Mummy during 43 special —and scary– nights.

Concerning COVID-19 measures, the amusement park has an “Updated Safety Guidelines” page that travelers can check before visiting the parks to make sure they comply with all requirements and stay up to date in case rules change.

The most recent updates remind visitors that face coverings are optional—but highly recommended for unvaccinated guests—, and the park does not require proof of vaccination but visitors must confirm that they do not feel sick, that don’t have any COVID-19 related symptoms, and that they haven’t been in contact with anyone with the virus or have been ordered to self-quarantine.

For international visitors, the requirement to show proof of being fully vaccinated, as well as providing a 1-day negative antigen test, is still a requirement to enter the U.S.
