Visit the Heel of Italy’s Boot

Come and see the trullo in Apulia, Italy. The town of Alberobello contains the largest group of trulli and is a UNESCO protected site. Many trulli are available for rent and it is the best way to live like a local. Trullidea Resort helps you feel like a citizen with one of their wonderful rentals. The cost of this rental is considerably less than a typical tourist hotel in the area. For some time in the sun on the beach, you can go to Gargano Peninsula in Apulia. This beach is popular with the locals but is mostly off the radar for tourists.

See Spectacular Castles in Bavaria

If you want to feel like you are in a fairytale, spend some time in Bavaria. One of Germany’s most popular destinations, Bavaria is known for its distinctive local culture, popular festivals, and spectacular mountain scenery. In Munich, dine on delicious sausages and beer at Hofbräuhaus, a tourist favorite. A must see attraction in Bavaria is Neuschwanstein Castle, the mountain top home of King Ludwig II. Tours of Neuschwanstein Castle are only possible with a guided tour and tickets are only available online.

Stay in Charming Budapest

A trip to Budapest can cost considerably less than the city’s western European counterparts. In Budapest, you can take a stroll or a cruise along the glorious Danube River. The city is also a great place to navigate by bicycle or a guided walking tour. Budapest is known for its considerable nightlife scene with many bars and nightclubs including the popular Boutiq’Bar and Buddha-Bar Lounge. You won’t have to go far here to sample that wonderful Hungarian cuisine. For an exceptional dining experience, try Zincenco Kitchen, voted the best restaurant in Budapest.

See Architectural Masterpieces in Ljubljana

This capital of Slovenia, although it is one of the smallest in Europe, Ljubljana has an appeal to locals and visitors alike. The architecture of this majestic city is in of itself a reason to visit. Renowned architect Joze Plecnik designed many of the structures here such as the Triple Bridge and the embankments of the Ljubljanica River. For a delightful Slovenian meal, dine at Kodila Gourmet. For active people, there are many hiking trails like Bevke Learning Trail, or you can cycle on any of the city’s bicycle routes such as the Green Ljubljana Tour

This hilltop region near Seville has many whitewashed villages stretching from Arcos de la Frontera all the way to Ronda. Cheapest EU destinations are found eastern Europe: Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia for example are much cheaper than any of the western european areas mentioned in this article. You'll find beautiful nature, the friendliest people, old cities with castles and less tourists there too!
