The freezing Northern Hemisphere winter is fast approaching, and soon enough, millions of Americans will be flocking into airports in hopes of catching the next flight to the Caribbean. There is an abundance of options available this year, now that most restrictions have dropped, but if they're looking for a five-star experience and sargassum-free waters, then they might want to consider Cozumel, a tried and true vacay hotspot where a new Dreams all-inclusive resort has recently opened.

Cozumel is arguably the trendiest non-continental destination in the Mexican Caribbean, popular among sunbathers for its year-round warmer weather, pearl-white sandy beaches, and the region's signature turquoise waters. Being an island with a more limited number of daily flights, one can infer it is much more exclusive than the overcrowded Cancun.

Moreover, it is taking it up a notch by hosting one of Mexico's most luxurious retreats yet:

Preparing months ahead for what's shaping up to be a record season for tourism in the Riviera Maya, AMR Collection officially opened the long-awaited Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa in Cozumel on September 16. This is their latest addition to what's already an extensive list of high-end hotels in Mexico. This time, the pristine island of Cozumel, off the Riviera Maya coast, was selected.

The hotel is located on the Zona Hotelera Sur*, close to Cozumel's top-rated attractions, such as Playa Mia Grand, Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park, Villa Tikal, and Gaston Beach, where snorkeling is widely practiced. Additionally, guests can easily book tours to visit Punta Sur Eco Beach Park and the San Gervasio Archaeological Zone.

As stated by AMR Collection, the new resort is located on a ‘blissful stretch of beach‘ where guests are always within a short distance of ‘adventure, romance, and relaxation'. It features eight different types of accommodation, including 154 VIP-only, ‘Preferred Club' suites, boasting incredible views of the ocean or Cozumel's tropical landscape.

The full list can be found on the resort's website, with some of the highlights including beachfront swim-out suites, large apartments with connecting doors for families of up to six members, and a master suite with sea views. Their flagship product, the select Preferred Club, may require a few more months of savings, but it allows guests to enjoy:
