1. The Space Needle
The Seattle skyline would be incomplete without this iconic building! Originally constructed for the 1962 world fair, the space needle has since become one of Seattle's most well-known and well-loved attractions. You can look forward to enjoying views of the city, braving a glass floor, and ending your trip with a visit to the gift shop at the base of the space needle.
2. Pike Place Market
Head to downtown Seattle to experience the world-famous Pike Place Market. The market is home to several iconic Seattle shops, including the first Starbucks. Visitors will traverse several levels of stores geared towards everything from glassware to comic books. In addition to stores, the market also features a variety of vendors offering fresh fruit, fish, and countless other goods.

This is the perfect option for those looking for something a little quirky, or those interested in the history of the city. Many of the current buildings in the city were actually built on top of their predecessors, resulting in an assortment of underground streets and storefronts. 4. The Seattle Great Wheel
Here’s a great option for a fun and memorable experience! Located on Pier 57, the Seattle Great Wheel is a wonderful way to view the city as well as the Puget Sound. Tickets are available in person as well as online.
5. The Seattle Aquarium
Get to see some of the area’s sea life with a visit to the Seattle Aquarium! You can look forward to seeing all manner of interesting creatures, including sharks, jellyfish, and otters. Tickets are available online. Additionally, some COVID-19 regulations, such as proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test, are required for entry.
6. The Museum Of Pop Culture
This fun and interactive museum highlights elements of pop culture. Some examples of their exhibit include Heroes And Villains: The Art Of The Disney Costume and Nirvana: Taking Punk To The Masses. Tickets are available online. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test is required for entry, with masks being required while inside the museum.
7. Kerry Park
If you’re looking for one of the best places to view the Seattle skyline, you’ll definitely want to check out Kerry Park. A popular spot for onlookers and photographers alike, the park offers some of the best-unobstructed views of the city available.
8. Discovery Park
This is a great option for those who enjoy the outdoors. Located just outside of Seattle, Discovery Park feels far more remote than it is. The park is home to a variety of trails that are perfect for hiking and jogging. In addition to enjoying the fresh air, you can learn more about the history of the area and view an old lighthouse towards the end of the park. The park is open year-round. However, it does get pretty cold in the winter – if you do decide to check it out during the winter, you’ll want to bring a warm coat and boots with you.
9. Chihuly Garden and Glass
This is the perfect option for an awe-inspiring stop. Chihuly Garden and Glass features intricate glass sculptures. Located in the heart of the city, near the space needle, this is also a great addition to the rest of your day in Seattle as you won’t have to go too far out of your way to visit. Entry requirements include COVID-19 precautions including proof of vaccination or recent COVID-19 test. Tickets are available for purchase online.
10. Woodland Park Zoo
If you’re an animal lover this is the choice for you. Woodland Park Zoo is a place that a variety of exotic creatures call home. Such inhabitants include everything from tigers to snakes. Masks are currently required inside the zoo. You can buy your tickets online, or in person.
