Seattle is a city full of unique, fun things to do. From The Gum Wall to shops with shrunken heads, here are 10 ideas for quirky things to do on your next trip to the city.

Top 10 Quirky Things To Do In Seattle

1. Check Out the Gum Wall

The Gum Wall is a somewhat infamous attraction located near Pike Place Market. This alley wall is almost entirely covered with several inches of chewing gum – and it’s been cleaned multiple times. The gum wall is a popular sight-seeing location with both locals and tourists, and its close proximity to Pike Place Market means you won’t have to go too far away from other attractions to take it in.

If you’re a fan of the grotesque and unusual, consider stopping by Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. Part store, part exhibit, this shop is home to unique knick-knacks as well as memorable collections such as real shrunken heads and a mummy.

3. Head Over to the Meowtropolitan

Make some feline friends at Seattle’s Meowtropolitan! A Seattle version of the ever-expanding cat café trend, this is bound to make a memorable excursion. While you can usually look forward to grabbing a hot cup of coffee as well as visiting the cats, the coffee shop is currently closed due to the pandemic. You can still visit the cats, as well as check out the gift shop, however, by booking a visit online.

Stop by and say hi to a real-life (well, cement) troll under a bridge with a visit to the Fremont Troll. Located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, this troll is a popular photo spot with visitors.

This Amazon office building puts other corporate buildings to shame! With a segment made up of several giant spheres, this is a truly one-of-a-kind experience. You can stroll through the sphere’s indoor gardens yourself every first and third Saturday of each month. Though a trip inside is free, reservations are currently required and can be made online.
