The list may be short but there are now tropical destinations this winter that U.S. travelers can escape to without having to get a COVID-19 test.

Whether it's the fear of getting the swab jabbed up your nose or the hassle and stress of getting those test results in time for your trip, some Americans are looking for destinations that have no COVID testing requirements.

The great news is the destinations are right in our back yard and easily accessible with direct flights by every major airline from the U.S.

Just because these locations do not have COVID-19 testing does not mean that they are free from the virus or even have low occurrences.

The Dominican Republic has its arms wide open to welcome back American travelers this winter.

With its turquoise ocean waters, all-inclusive luxury resorts, tropical warm weather and white sand beaches, US travelers will have it near the top of their lists to escape the cold.

The Caribbean island is a favorite among American travelers looking to sip unlimited margaritas on the beach and work on their tans.

The Dominican Republic has no mandatory testing before arrival and no quarantines.

The island is also giving away free COVID-19 insurance until the end of December.

Costa Rica

Although Costa Rica originally shut out U.S. travelers when they first reopened, the country has now become much more liberal with their COVID-19 entry requirements

Initially they were allowing select states to enter but as of November 1st, all of the U.S. is welcome!

The U.S recently dropped their Level 4 warning for Costa Rica to a level 3 as well just in time for the reopening.

In another move announced yesterday, Costa Rica will drop its COVID-19 testing requirement effective as of October 26th.

That means travelers will no longer be required to present a COVID 19 PCR swab test upon entry.

Costa Rica has beautiful warm weather and stunning jungle lined beaches. If you are more of the adventurous type, Costa Rica is for you! The country is known for its zip-lining tours, whitewater rafting, kayaking, scuba diving, cliff diving, and sky diving, among other adrenaline-pumping activities.

Of course you can always just sit back and just have Margaritas on the beach as well. That works too.
