As the days get longer and warmer, traveling gets more and more enticing. More and more people are working forty-hour weeks entirely from their home offices. We’re all having to learn how to work and relax in the same space. Often it can start to feel like the workday never ends, and it’s making it harder and harder to stay home. Can you really clock out if clocking out just means walking from your office to your living room?
We all still have to work. But we do we have to do all of our working and relaxing inside the same four walls?
The answer is no!

“Staycation” is a word that used to refer to relaxing in your own home. Since the pandemic, however, this word has evolved to include a casual weekend spent anywhere within driving distance of your house. Hotels are coming to be seen as something more than a place to stay when you’re going somewhere far away. Some hotels have even started evolving to adapt to this, offering more specials and amenities for locals looking to get out of the house.
As the pandemic has gone on, hotels have gotten better and better at creating a safe, virus-free environment for their guests. All of the hotels on this list were already known for having high standards of cleanliness, and all of them have developed even more extensive precautionary measures of sanitation to give their guests peace of mind.
Whether you’re a native Coloradan looking for a staycation that’s not in your home or you’re looking to travel to Colorado from around the world, these hotels will impress.

1. The Broadmoor

But its ease of access to wilderness locations and adventures of every shape and size will let you experience Colorado to its fullest.
They offer spa services, a golf course, and outfitters who will guide you on hikes and rock climbs. Their outfitters will even teach you about the care of birds of prey and the ancient sport of Falconry!

Their staycation package includes a $50 credit to be used towards any service on the resort property.
