Need to stay warm this winter? Here are some of the cheapest flight deals available to the top sunny destinations from Toronto, Calgary and other major cities in Canada.

Kingston, Jamaica

With new flight routes launched from Canada last month and vaccinated tourists being able to move throughout Jamaica’s “resilient corridor”, this warm and sunny Caribbean nation is happy to welcome you back.

In Jamaica you can soak up all of that sun you’ve been missing over the winter. Travelers can go on a day trip to Dunn’s River Falls & Park near Ocho Rios, lounge the day away on Negril’s Seven Mile Beach, or go on a guided tour of the stunning Green Grotto Caves. There are cheap flight deals available to Kingston and Montego Bay in January and February from Toronto.

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Entry restrictions have eased for tourists in the Dominican Republic in recent months, so this is another sunny destination to put on your radar this winter.

For a much-needed winter break this year, stay at one of Punta Cana’s many resorts. Relax on the white sands of Arena Gorda Beach, ride the waves in Playa Macao, and enjoy some water sports at Bavaro Beach.

Cancun, Mexico

If staying in Cancun doesn’t sound appealing to you, just hop on a bus (or rent a car, of course) and head south to relax in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Morelos. Alternatively, you can travel west towards the Yucatan cities of Valladolid or Merida where warm weather, fascinating history, and delicious food is guaranteed.

Playa Blanca, Panama

Explore somewhere a little different this winter! Sunny vacation airline Air Transat is currently offering flight deals from Montreal and Toronto to Rio Hato, Panama. Here you can find Playa Blanca, Playa Farallon, and other beautiful beaches.

Located along the Gulf of Panama on the west coast, Playa Blanca has a number of resorts, hotels and restaurants to choose from for a winter getaway.

Or, you can always use this cheap flight deal as an entry point and then travel north to Panama City to explore a mix of history, beaches and some of the national parks just outside of the capital city. Here are some top tips for your first visit to Panama.
