It has been a long year of sitting at home and dreaming of the days we can travel freely again. There is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Many countries are desperate to reopen their borders for tourists and start rebuilding their economies that have been devastated by the pandemic.
With inoculations for Covid-19 well underway worldwide, it was only a matter of time before nations began opening their borders for travelers that have been vaccinated.
This is the complete list of countries that are open for travelers who have received the Covid-19 vaccine. We will update this list constantly with any new announcements so be sure to bookmark this page and check back often!
While some countries have chosen to open their borders for vaccinated tourists without any entry requirements such as testing or quarantines, other countries are taking a more precautious route.
Being vaccinated for Covid-19 does provide protection for the traveler but immunologists are still unsure if those who have been inoculated are still transmitters of the virus. Vaccinated tourists should still wear a mask and do everything they can to prevent unknowingly spreading the virus.

Fully vaccinated passengers can enter Armenia without providing a pre-flight PCR test, but official sources still say passengers are “subject to PCR testing on arrival”. Some of our readers have reported no test was performed upon entering Armenia with proper vaccination proof (14 days having elapsed since the last shot), but be prepared for it just in case.
Aruba
In July 2021, Aruba started making exceptions to the 72-hour PCR testing requirement for passengers who have been fully vaccinated. 15 days must have passed since the final shot, and the passenger must also have either the EU's Digital Green Certificate or the U.S's CommonPass Smart Health Card.
Austria
(EU+ only)
Starting May 19, 2021, Austria is allowing proof of vaccination for EU and a small list of third-party nations to enter without testing. Proof of vaccination is only valid for 9 months until further studies are done.
Bahamas
Starting May 1, 2021 The Bahamas will make exceptions to allow fully vaccinated passengers to skip PCR testing. With proof of vaccination, no pre-flight PCR testing is required.
Barbados
Partial exception for vaccinated travelers
Starting May 8, 2021, Barbados is now softening some of its strict entry rules for vaccinated tourists. Belize
The government of Belize has updated its entry requirements to allow vaccinated tourists from all countries to visit without providing proof of a negative PCR/Antigen test. Vaccinated travelers can now show their proof of vaccination documents before boarding, providing the last treatment was administered at least 2 weeks prior to the arrival date.

Croatia
As of April 1, 2021 Croatia is now allowing vaccinated travelers to enter without needing to comply with the alternative 48-hour PCR test requirement.
Unlike some other nations, they clearly recognize both the single-dose and the 2-dose versions of the vaccine. Their government website reads: “vaccination certificate for persons who received a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine more than 14 days prior. Exceptionally, in the case of a vaccine received in a single dose, a certificate of receipt of a single dose if the dose was received more than 14 days before crossing the state border,”
In addition to the new vaccine exception, Croatia has once again reopened to third-party passengers outside the EU, providing they can show proof of accommodation or similar touristic activity.

As of May 10, 2021, vaccinated passengers from 50+ countries (including the USA, Canada, UK, and more) can visit Cyprus without testing or quarantines.

Cyprus is also recognizing 5 vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, J&J, and Sputnik.
Denmark

As of June 5, 2021, Denmark is also allowing fully vaccinated tourists from the USA & UK to enter test/quarantine-free.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic has been open for tourism since 2020 without many entry rules (such as pre-flight testing or quarantines), but 3%-10% of arrivals are still subject to a random breathalyzer-type covid test upon arrival. The big 4 vaccines are recognized by Germany and 14-days must have elapsed since the last/final dose of the vaccine.

April 27 update: Iceland has brought back testing on arrival, even for vaccinated passengers, starting April 27, 2021. Everybody must undergo testing on arrival to Iceland. The benefit for vaccinated passengers is they only have to wait in ‘quarantine' 2-24 hours for test results to come back, while unvaccinated travelers have to quarantine for 5 to 6 days.
Ireland
Partial exception for vaccinated travelers
As of mid-May, most passengers flying into Ireland will have to complete a 14-day hotel quarantine upon arrival. They've recently made some exceptions to this rule for fully vaccinated travelers.

Fully vaccinated travelers can rent cars, go to local stores, stay with family and friends, etc.
St. Kitts & Nevis
Partial exception for vaccinated travelers
If we're being honest, the exception for vaccinated travelers by St. Kitts and Nevis is almost not worth including in this list, since it's so minor. All vaccinated visitors to the islands still have a laundry list of entry requirements to fulfill, including hotel quarantine and multiple PCR tests.
As of May 1, 2021, fully vaccinated passengers get these 2 slight exceptions: A 9-day hotel quarantine instead of 14-days, and no exit PCR test before leaving.

In order to bypass 1 of the 2 PCR tests and the costly 7-day hotel quarantine, passengers can now show they’ve received
- At least the 1st dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine

@Kashlee Kucheran, Hi I am a British citizen in South Africa (red list country) trying to travel to the UK, I have been vaccinated (J & J) and have a vaccination card as well as a digital certificate from the Ministry of Health here confirming I am vaccinated. Is there any way I can return to the UK without having to hotel quarantine, I am travelling with my 14-year-old son. Please advise. Many thanks

Since South Africa is on the RED list, you have to follow all entry requirements, even if you have been fully vaccinated. That includes the pre-flight test, the hotel quarantine, 2 more tests and the passenger locator form

Hi there just an important note for many who read quickly. Both travelling types of people can visit almost any country. Only that some of the countries require testing also for those not. Which is stupid because now research is showing unvaccinated travellers are more at risk to get covid from the vaccinated ones. YUP. Made sense. Too bad people only listen to some people.
