Poland Becomes The 23rd Country To Remove All Entry Requirements

Poland – from today (28 March) – has removed all of its Covid-related entry requirements, as well as lifted its indoor mask mandate and the requirement to quarantine if you are infected with Covid-19.

The country’s Health Minister, Adam Niedzielski, announced the news last Thursday (24 March), which now means that entry to – and traveling around – the country will feel more like what it did in pre-pandemic times.

And, the news comes at the same time that the World Health Organization claims that Europe is lifting its Covid-related restrictions too ‘brutally’ – amid a new Covid-19 variant surge.

However, this has not stopped Poland from removing all of its entry requirements to the country for international visitors – as well as the nation’s remaining domestic Covid-19 restrictions.

There Are No Longer Any Covid-19 Entry Requirements For International Visitors

With there no longer being any Covid-related entry requirements for international visitors when entering Poland, this now means that travelers can enter the country just as they did before the Covid-19 pandemic began.

However, since reopening for tourism purposes on June 13 2020, international visitors to the country had been subject to a number of entry requirements – which most recently required fully vaccinated arriving passengers to:

• show proof of full vaccination against Covid-19
• present a negative Covid-19 PCR or Rapid Antigen test upon arrival

• undergo Covid testing upon arrival – which was only applicable to Non-EU nationals, including visitors from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom
• complete a passenger locator form.

For unvaccinated travelers, however, there was previously a need to quarantine for 7 days upon arrival, as well as a requirement to adhere to the above same rules as fully vaccinated individuals.

Masks Are No Longer Required In Public Indoor Settings

From now on, you will no longer be legally required to wear a face mask in public indoor settings – which means that you can now enter public venues such as shopping malls, restaurants, bars and nightclubs mask-free.

However, Health Minister – Niedzielski – did say that masks will remain a legal requirement when visiting any healthcare facility inside the country.

And, although the indoor mask mandate for public venues – other than healthcare facilities – has been lifted, people are still ‘advised’ to wear them in crowded places as a precautionary measure.

Those Infected With Covid-19 No Longer Have To Quarantine

Individuals who are infected with Covid-19 – or who have been in close contact with an infected individual – are no longer legally required to isolate or quarantine.

This includes travelers that enter the country – with a need to quarantine no longer a requirement.

However, although you are no longer legally required to isolate or quarantine upon testing positive for Covid-19, the nation’s Health Minister – Niedzielski – has said that anyone who does return a positive test result should self-isolate, according to a report by Polish radio station, RMF24.

Poland Offers So Much For Tourists

With Poland removing its remaining entry requirements, and internal Covid-related restrictions, there is little doubt that this will help to boost tourist numbers in the near future – with the country offering so much for visitors.

Other Countries That Have Recently Removed All Of Their Covid Entry Requirements

Poland is not the only European country to get rid of its remaining Covid-19 entry requirements, with other nations having recently done the same, including Sweden – which announced just a few days ago that from 1 April visitors can enter without entry rules.
