Many countries are now requiring travel insurance that covers Covid-19 for entry as they look to protect their health care systems from the rising cost of treatment.
Traveling in a Covid-19 world has its challenges including border closures, testing requirements, quarantines and now health insurance that includes treatment for the coronavirus.
A growing number of countries have now made it mandatory for travelers to have international travel insurance that covers Covid-19. This list is expected to grow so make sure to bookmark this page and check back often.

Countries That Require Covid-19 Travel Insurance
Aruba requires all travelers to purchase Covid-19 insurance from the Aruba government which covers up to $75,000 in healthcare.
Costs will vary depending on your length of stay in Aruba and your age.
The official Aruba government insurance website will provide travelers with a quote.
If a traveler already purchased private travel insurance, they will still need to get the Aruba policy.
“If there’s a sudden COVID-19 outbreak in Aruba, the local medical providers won’t have time to deal with foreign insurers and the many different types of policy conditions. By centralizing the insurance system, all visitors can be assisted instantly and won’t have many, if any, out-of-pocket expenses.”
There are also additional testing requirements for visiting Aruba.
You must have proof of travel health insurance that covers covid for the duration of your trip. You will need to show proof of this before departing at the airport, and again upon arrival.
While there are no current testing requirements or quarantines, Brazil is currently experiencing a large outbreak of Covid-19.
Travelers will be required to provide proof of international travel insurance that covers Covid-19.
The insurance is to cover “lodging in the event of being quarantined and medical expenses due to acute illness.”
Only certain countries are being allowed to travel to Costa Rica at this time and Covid-19 testing prior to arrival is mandatory.

All travelers to Tahiti are required to fill out an online entry form and declare that they have purchased travel insurance that covers Covid-19 or “or personally assume all expenses related to cost of care including hospitalization, confinement, or repatriation, should the visitor fall ill during their stay.”
Turks and Caicos
The Ukraine is requiring all travelers to have proof of Ukrainian health insurance that covers covid-19 treatment.
All policies must be issued by a health insurance provider in the Ukraine.
Visitors will also be tested on arrival for Covid-19.
United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates now states that all travelers over the age of 11 must have valid travel insurance that covers international healthcare.
Travelers are also required to provide negative results from a Covid-19 PCR test taken no more than 96 hours before arrival.
Most travelers arriving to the UAE will arrive in Dubai which also has its own entry requirements.
